Stories about dangerous chemicals found in food or water periodically appear on news and cause us seek a safer source of products for our families. Demand generates supply as we know, and a new area of business, offering organic food which meant to be safer, rapidly emerged. However, recently FDA warned “Whole Foods”, one of the leaders in that business, about violations found on one of the plants which brought a risk of food being “contaminated with filth or rendered injurious to health.” This story tells us that even the focused on safe and natural products stores may need people’s control of the quality and non-profit organizations involvement in monitoring products safety, such as CAPFNC.
