MISSION

Our goal is to help protect the well-being of public by:

  • Performing screen of commercially available foods, drinks, cosmetics, drugs, supplements and other various consumer products for the presence of toxins, preservatives, pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, environmental pollutants, hazardous chemicals, etc.
  • Serving as an independent quality control platform to insure government regulations are followed
  • Educating people on risks of consuming or using particular products

FUNCTION

CAPFNC was founded in 2016 by the founder of Alera Labs, LLC. This was a fulfillment of a 15-year old dream to start an independent laboratory that would provide an unbiased verification of safety of various consumer products. Have you ever wondered if the premium you are paying for “organic” foods at the grocery store is really worth it? How close does the label on a vitamin or herbal supplement you bought at the local pharmacy corresponds to its contents? Do you know that many chemicals we use on a daily basis in our households have never been tested for safety?

As a non-profit organization, we are supported by donations from the public and organizations who share our vision. In return, we offer open voting system for the selection of objects for testing and will regularly publish results of our studies.

CAPFNC is a spin-off from Alera Labs and will heavily rely on its support in the early stages. Support will be provided by Alera Labs in the form of analytical equipment rent/lease as well as time of its scientists. All scientists have advanced degrees and have many years of experience in their respective fields of trace level chemical analysis.
